Jaymie's Birthday

Holiday was working at on some files left on her desk. Paperwork was part of a doctor's job after all. It was a long grueling task that no one really enjoyed, but someone had to get it done. She glanced over at the clock. 10. She still had plenty of time before lunch. The good doctor didn't like to procrastinate, but for once, she did. Glancing over at a desktop calendar, she decided to flip through it. She didn't get very far though, since Thursday had something written on it. "Jaymie's birthday!!!" Her mouth gaped open for a second. She stood up and hurried out of the lab to find Rex and Six. They needed to plan a party for her. Jaymie was a child growing up in a non-traditional way. Holiday took it upon herself to make it as normal as possible. Even if that meant giving up paperwork to make a party.

It's Six's time to shine.

Six was going to check on Jaymie before he went to pick up the guests. The cooking would take maybe twenty minutes max, and the cake and ice cream are in the fridge. He just wanted to make sure Jaymie wasn't covered in maple syrup and creating a huge mess. Who knows? If checking in with Jaymie doesn't take long, he could squeeze in some training time for himself. Ah yes, Six felt rather proud of his strategy.

Six. We just need six.

can he walk in on her making her own sock drawer of lies Jaymie is sitting crisscross on her bedroom floor and dollie in her lap and she brushed it's hair. She's humming a happy tune. it's the tune rex sung to her when she was injured Awww

Not gonna comment on any of the crossed out stuff.

Six approached Jaymie's door, and took a deep breath. Who knew what horrors could be behind this door? It could be a maple syrup mess. He knocked on the door. "Jaymie, it's Six." He still didn't feel comfortable calling himself "daddy."

You're no fun

[naniteking]

"Oh hit daddy! Come play with me?"

One's a huge no and the other is feels. I'm not down for that at the moment.

"I can't. I have work to do. I came to check up on you. Did you clean up?" If he couldn't do the cooking, Holiday would volunteer and nobody would survive that. So, it looks like Six wasn't gonna play. He still wanted to do some training. Six, the funnest man in the world, strikes again.

[naniteking]

"Yeah I'm all cleaned up, no syrup here."

"Oh. Well maybe later. Mommy came by earlier and we played robot pirate island."

"I see. Holiday told me about it." Again, he didn't feel comfortable calling Holiday "mom" "I'll be done in an hour or two, then we can play together." And by play together, he meant go to the party.

[naniteking]

"Alright. Well maybe we can play robot pirate island later!"

This is gonna be a two parter reply to make it seem smoother in my mind.

"Maybe." Six turned and started to walk off. He had time to train. He did feel a bit guilty about not playing with Jaymie. He sorta gets why a birthday is important. But, training is important too and he can give her the attention she wants while he makes the balloon animals. Six hustled off to go training.

Time Lapse! (Mainly I don't want to write his training)

Six finished his training. He walked out of the training room and stopped. Taking a quick sniff of himself, he decided he was still clean enough to pick up the guests while making their parents worry. After all, he barely broke a sweat. Six headed off to board his private jet and complete one of his duties.

Meanwhile Jaymie is just gonna continue playing with his toys in her room. She's not off into trouble. She a good kid.
