Jaymie's Birthday

Holiday was working at on some files left on her desk. Paperwork was part of a doctor's job after all. It was a long grueling task that no one really enjoyed, but someone had to get it done. She glanced over at the clock. 10. She still had plenty of time before lunch. The good doctor didn't like to procrastinate, but for once, she did. Glancing over at a desktop calendar, she decided to flip through it. She didn't get very far though, since Thursday had something written on it. "Jaymie's birthday!!!" Her mouth gaped open for a second. She stood up and hurried out of the lab to find Rex and Six. They needed to plan a party for her. Jaymie was a child growing up in a non-traditional way. Holiday took it upon herself to make it as normal as possible. Even if that meant giving up paperwork to make a party.

"Hey Green Bean is awake! Green bean you misses all the action!" Oh looks like mom is out of playtime duty one yay bald to planning and work.

"You and Green Bean take care of all that treasure. I have to go back to work now, if that's okay. I'll send Rex and Six to find you when you get back."

"Don't worry mommy we'll protect it and use some of it to get you something nice too!"

"Thank you, Jaymie. That's very nice. May I have a hug before I go?" She got down on her knees and extended her arms for said hug.

Jaymie happily hugged her mother and smiled " bye mommy. Be sure to send Rex over as soon as you see him, I wanna show him the treasure."

"I will. Don't you worry about it." She might have lied. But it's okay. Six's sock drawer of lies was gonna be pretty full after this. She released the girl, stood up, and headed towards the lab.
